SUMMER HOLIDAY CLUBS

July/August 2020

Due to COVID-19 and the Government Guidelines that have been set in place, S4YC have had to make a number of changes in the way that we are now able to operate Holiday Clubs, please note these guidelines vary dependent on the age of your child.

S4YC is now pleased to announce that the following settings will be open for children during the Summer Holidays:-

Ages 0 – 4:

  • Stanlaw Abbey Children’s Centre
  • Blacon Children’s Centre
  • Whitby Heath Primary School

From July 20th the government guidelines advise we no longer need to maintain bubbles and therefore you will be able to book additional days/sessions through your online iPAL account.

  • No food will be served. Therefore, children will have to bring their own breakfast (if they have not already eaten at home), lunch and daily snacks.
  • Any children who spread their funding and are currently using our provisions will be automatically transferred over to the nearest setting during the next few days.
  • Places capped at 30 children in at any one time

Ages 5 – 11:-

  • Whitby Heath Primary School
  • Bishop Wilson Primary School
  • The Firs School
  • Huntington Primary School

To keep children and staff safe and to reduce the risks associated with COVID-19, we will continue to place children into small bubbles of no more than 15 children.  This will help to reduce the risk of cross contamination.

  • All settings opening hours will be 8.00am-5.00pm (there will be no exceptions to this rule) to enable a full clean down each evening.
  • All settings will be limited to a maximum of 15 children per week.
  • Parents can only book a complete week if a place is required, this will prevent mixing of bubbles.
  • Weekly fee of £137.50.
  • No food will be served. Therefore, children will have to bring their own breakfast (if they have not already eaten at home), lunch and daily snacks.
  • Daily craft and sports activities will be available in line with government guideline.
  • Parents can view further COVID-19 measures that will be put in place on our website: www.s4yc.co.uk

As always, we are basing each week around a theme - this Summer's themes being:

Myths and Legends

Summer Staycation

Take a Walk on the Wild Side (Zoo Theme)

Life on an Ocean Wave

At One with Nature

Lockdown Lookback (Be Kind to Yourself)

Can parents please book their sessions on iPAL ideally with as much notice as possible.  This will enable S4YC to staff the settings correctly.

Presently our stance remains the same, if your child can stay at home this is the safest place for them. The safety of children, staff and our families are of paramount importance.
