17th - 21st October 2016

Date: 21st Oct 2016 @ 11:06am

It has undoubtedly been a long half term (and a very wet week) but, with just 1 week left to go until the holidays, we are still keeping busy in S4YC.  Carrying on with our Autumn theme this week we have made Autumn fairies and elves, scratch art squirrels, Autumn cards and iced cupcakes amongst other things.

On Tuesday the infants just about managed to dodge the showers in time to carry out a very successful fire drill. Well done to everyone for demonstrating such wonderful listening skills and for following instructions so well.

Over on the juniors we have spent a lot of time this week discussing ways of improving club and what things we could buy to make club more exciting and fun.  The difficulty we have discovered is that the children themselves aren't quite sure what they want to do but, after much thought, it was suggested that we buy phones, a trampoline and a dog!!! Needless to say we will continue in our quest to discover what it is the children want over the coming weeks but, in the meantime, if you have any toys, board games, blankets, sheets, cushions etc that you know longer require please feel free to pass them our way.

We have just one week left of the current sports courses and are delighted with how popular football and gymnastics has been this half term.  Clubs continue for yrs 1 and 2 after the holidays so please don't forget to complete and return the form if you wish your child to take part.

There are still places available for our half term play scheme and football course.  Click on the link to download a booking form: http://www.s4yc.co.uk/serve_file/129382

We will also be open on the school inset day (Friday 11th November) - feel free to contact me for further details.
